So the idea for this blog, and hopefully eventually the book; came about on a flight of stairs while exchanging stories and star crossed lover emails with a close friend. After reading the email from the man who she literally destroyed, it made me think about how interesting it was to step into someone else's shoes and feel what they felt or read what came from someone else's mouth to someone that wasn't you. It was like, watching a movie but better because it wasn't written for your amusement or even you. I guess along the lines with hearing someone's secrets or learning that everyone has their vices; I eventually stated to my friend..(while ascending my soap box) that what if someone could take these letters that we all without a doubt have been the senders and receivers; and made it feasible for others to read and retell. Unfortunately we all stare at reality tv far too long, or even find ourselves rubber necking when we should be watching the road ahead (obviously!)
Yet still, we all tend to morbidly ponder the details such as the letters created by love, obsession, depression, jealousy, guilt, and even confession.
And so, it is to you that i extend this challenge : Find your letters, either written by you or to you, copy or summarize and email them to vanessathevivacious@gmail.com I will then post them to this blog and we will thus be sharing, inspiring, and allowing people to "Read , Before Returning To Sender".
I look forward to this social project and am a firm believer in the idea that knowing someone has been there, makes it so much easier to move on or learn something you didn't know two minutes ago.
